True-Source, Online Apparel Store

This was created around June/July of 2023, hoping to achieve a few things. The thought began to develop as I observed the daily attire of a few of my co-workers. The type of messages on their T-shirts made me think if I have to wear a T-shirt with a message, it will have to be a positive one to inspire and motivate and not one to create a frown.

Understandably, everyone has different tastes in fashion and opinion. And that is great, but most of the messages on their shirts were not inspiring or encouraging for me. And they always seem to have an attitude that coincides with the message on their shirts. I am not saying it was because of the Shirts they had on. But I firmly believe that what you feed your mind and body will eventually impact your appearance and behavior.

Another observation was that most of us working there were unhappy about our job. Yet everyone showed up on time every day for work. I understand the importance of having a paycheck. But I began to question why I was torturing myself; I felt there was something more gratifying to be done. And I believe the messages on those co-workers’ T-shirts began to scream at me for help. So, I decided to do some research on having a small business. I had been involved in a few affiliate marketing programs before but had limited success in those ventures. But I kept believing that day would come for me, not just to be successful but to help others.

I discovered from my research that recent data from the U.S. Small Business Administration shows a figure of 33.3 million businesses, with Small Businesses making up 99.9% of all U.S. businesses in 2023. There were 2.64 billion e-commerce Shoppers, and over a quarter of all businesses are being conducted Online. More consumers reserved the web to shop for clothes, shoes, electronics, and groceries, to name a few. The web has become consumers’ first shop. As the economic environment continued to evolve, so did I.

I knew I loved drawing and artwork, and with my little design knowledge, choosing to get involved in the T-shirt business was a good fit. All I needed was a niche I would be passionate about and could enjoy doing daily. As a Christian who enjoys reading the bible and is constantly inspired by the life lessons it teaches. I decided to use some of the messages I read to create messages of inspirational, motivational, and encouraging content and add some of my humor to True-Source products.

I hope that when our apparels are seen their messages should spike curiosity, challenge people’s thoughts, put a smile on their faces, and put joy in their hearts—motivating people to be kinder, compassionate, loving, and appreciative of life, family, and friends. The hope is for Peace in households, with your neighbors, in the streets, our communities, and workplaces. Life is short; we all have to live in this space given to us by the Creator. We all can make more significant efforts to live in Love, Peace, joy, and harmony.
